A Manaement Internship is available Summer 2009 with a new laboratory that will produce clean energy located at VT!

We are seeking a student to assist in a new laboratory that works with renewable energy projects.  The candidate must be self motivated and willing to keep logs and records on experiments, parts ordering and tracking information as requested by the Program.  This is a great opportunity to gain some understanding and experience in wind, solar and fuel cell technology with a world class research group.

Above all the candidate must be willing to sign an agreement that certain information may not  be shared without written prior approval. Additionally an agreement to follow safety rules and procedures must be signed. The United States is going “green” and you could obtain some serious background experience that may lead to a future job opportunity.  Funds are limited approx. 2,000$ a month so either undergraduate credit through internship or a  desire by graduate students to obtain a good experience and resulting reference from a world class scientist would have to motivate “those volunteer hours”.

The location is at VT in “tin city” at the former ECE building right across the street from the architecture construction of building gables.  The 2006 non grid tied solar house is near the ECE building.

This is resume builder; we may start paying in fall through foundation so future offering may be made to the right candidate(s). All interns/students will work under the direction of Dr. Lai and or his designated assistant.

Please write a one page “Why I would like to work to help VT lead the world become a better home” and email it to Bill@6phase.com. To arrange an interview.
